In
2002 Poynton C.C. won the League Aggregate Competition with what was thought
to be an exceptionally high total of 760 points scored by their 1st and 2nd
XIs in 44 matches.
However
this total was beaten by the winners in 2003, Birkenhead Park, who topped
the eight hundred mark and with 806 points between their 1st and 2nd XIs won
the Bass Charrington Trophy comfortably from Nantwich in second place by 72
points.
