The
World of Coca-Cola,
Las Vegas
is
designed to capture each visitor's special experiences with the
world's favorite brand. These memories are brought to life
through several 2-3 minute video vignettes shown in the "
Storytelling Theater." Twenty-four separate stories are
rotated, so each visit will offer new tales to view. After
exiting the theater, visitors can use computers to type in their
own Coca-Cola memories.
Stories are told through a unique process called "Digital
Storytelling," an art form pioneered by multimedia
developer Dana Atchley. Atchley has taken the latest in
technology and applied it to the world's oldest art
form–storytelling.
The
March 1998 AV
Video Multimedia Producer
tells the in-depth story of the
World of Coca-Cola production: Always Interactive
describes how Dana Atchley Productions helps Coca-Cola make
digital storytelling part of pop culture with an interactive
exhibit in Las Vegas.
